1. To access the Windows services list, press Windows key + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.

2. Press W to bring up the services list and look for Windows Audio.

3. When you right-click on Windows Audio, choose Properties from the context menu.

4. Navigate to the “Log on” tab in the Properties box.

5. Select This account and make sure that Local Service with Password is selected.

Note: If you don’t know the password, you can type a new one and click OK to save the changes. You can even click the Browse button, then the Advanced button. Now, select the Find Now option, then choose LOCAL SERVICE from the search results, and finally click OK.

6. Click Apply, then OK to save your changes.

7. If you cannot save changes, you must first change the settings for another service called Windows Audio Endpoint Builder.

8. When you right-click on Windows Audio Endpoint Builder, choose Properties from the context menu. Navigate to the “Log on” tab now.

9. From the “Logon” tab, select the Local System account.

Method 1: Start Windows Audio services

3. Locate ServicDll, & if the value is %SystemRoot%\System32\Audiosrv.dll, this is the cause of the issue.

4. Replace this for the default value under Value data:

%SystemRoot%\System32\AudioEndPointBuilder.dll

5. Restart your computer to apply the modifications.

Method 6: Run Audio Troubleshooter

1. Simply, Press Windows Key + I to open Settings, then select Update & Security.

3. Now, under the heading “Get up and running,” select Playing Audio.
